But here’s the deal. Since this is a neighborhood-run event, and since we are not closing off streets (but hopefully we will in 2025), there are some guidelines and rules to adhere to.

Basically, be respectful, be kind, use common sense, and don’t do anything illegal.

More specifically:

• Do not gather in the street - please stick to yards and sidewalks

• Do not litter - each porch host will have trash and recycling bags/bins

• If you are driving, do not block driveways or fire hydrants

Some suggestions for attending Porchfest:

• $$$ - Prepare to tip the musicians you are digging (tip jars and Venmo signs will be displayed)

• BYOC (chair) and use a non-motorized vehicle to get around

• This is a rain or shine event - plan accordingly

• Keep abreast of any day-of updates by following Highland Park Porchfest on Instagram

• Have a blast and spread generosity and goodwill
